Serve

God calls us to serve one another whether it’s serving on a ministry team in our church, in our community, or in the world. Get involved and see firsthand how God is transforming lives.

Serve in the Church

Whatever gifts you have, we want to help you find the right area where you’ll enjoy serving. Here are some possible ways you can serve here at Madison.

Contact us to find out how to get involved with these opportunities.

  • Children’s Ministry Volunteers
We’re always open to have new volunteers participate within the Children’s Ministry area. We encourage those who are interested to shadow in an area to gain a full understanding of the programming that we provide our students. In order to keep all of our children safe, we do require a criminal background check to serve in this ministry. If interested please contact our Children’s Minister, Jonathon Barnes at jbarnes@nullmadisonchristian.org.
  • Student Ministry Volunteers
If you have a heart for service with Middle School and High School students, please contact Mike Seckman at mseckman@nullmadisonchristian.org.
  • Greeting Ministry
We all appreciate a great smile from a friendly face when entering the building. Maybe you’re gifted in the smile department! We can always use helpers to welcome new guests and those not so new to our services. If this is your desire, please stop by the Welcome Center and share your interest. We’ll gladly use your smiles soon!
  • Worship Team
Has God gifted you to sing and/or play an instrument for His praises? Maybe you enjoy singing in a choir. We would thoroughly enjoy having you help lead the congregation with your talents or singing in one of our special celebration services. Please contact Matt Archibald at marchibald@nullmadisonchristian.org for more information on how to plug in.

Visit Music and Worship Ministry for more details.
  • Tech Team
It takes a great team to help make our services run smoothly. We have service areas within the tech/media team that include sound board techs, power point operators, and light controllers. If you have this aptitude, please stop by the sound booth and talk to one of our techs on how to get involved or simply email our Worship Minister, Matt Archibald at marchibald@nullmadisonchristian.org.

Visit Technical Ministry for more details.
  • Home Communion Servers
This ministry delivers communion weekly to our homebound members. If you’d like to serve in this ministry, call the church office at (614) 491-3232.
  • Bereavement Ministry
This ministry is designed to help people in their time of grief by providing a meal immediately following the funeral service. Ministry participants are used to help organize and prepare the meal, set up and tear down. If you’re interested in helping with this ministry, contact us at info@nullmadisonchristian.org.

Serve in the Community

As a church, we want to be generous toward those in our local community and in the world.

  • Miracle Garden of Linden
Madison Christian Church helps support the Miracle Garden of Linden which is a community garden that exists to help alleviate food insecurity in the most impoverished area of the city of Columbus. If you’d like to use your green thumb and dust off your gardening tools, they’ll be happy to have you assist them. Contact our church office for details.
  • Groveport Food Pantry
We continually support the Groveport Food Pantry which welcomes donations of all non-perishable food items.  Food items can be donated in the church lobby.  Thank you for supporting our local food pantry. Click here to see the list of items currently needed.
  • Help Build Hope
During this event, we’ll build over 100 individual walls that will be constructed into two Habitat for Humanity homes. These walls will be delivered to the Habitat for Humanity for a family who needs a house.

Serve in the World

Here at Madison we want to be on mission, sharing God’s love and message (Matthew 28:19-20). We do this locally, nationally and internationally.
