We have an exciting ministry opportunity right around the corner. Our Lifeline Christian Mission Meal Pack is February 19 and 20. Our goal is to pack meals on President’s Day weekend each year. Last year we contributed 130,000 meals to the 11 million meals pictured above that were sent into areas where there is “food insecurity.” This year, because of the Lord’s blessing and the generosity of our people, we are going to be able to pack 166,000 meals! These meals are a rice and beans base and will be going to Honduras. We have bought some meals to try in the past, and they are very tasty and nutritious.

We try to make it super convenient to pack. We have sessions before and after worship on Sunday, February 19. This year, we also have a “bonus session” before our “Praise Night” on Sunday, February 19. On President’s Day, we offer a session in the morning and the evening for those with that day off. Students at Madison Christian High School will pack meals on the morning of Tuesday, February 21. The students in the National Honor Society are assuming important leadership functions for the student Meal Pack. These kids can pack like crazy – and it is a joy to watch them churn out meals! (It also can be a challenge to keep them supplied with product to pack because they are so fast.)
