Look For The Madison Blue

If you want to find us at the Recreation Center staging or in the parade – all you need to do is to look for the “Madison Blue.” We will be representing Madison Christian Church and Madison Christian School in the Groveport Fourth of July Parade. The parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. from the Groveport Recreation Center and concludes at Glendening Elementary School.

We want to give a sincere “thank you” to the many people who bring their efforts together to make this possible. ” Thank you” to all of you who have contributed to our parade walk, many who have given the funds that make it possible for us to be very generous with the community as we participate in the parade. Others have invested time and effort in procuring the items we give out along the route, packaging those items, float design and construction, getting people signed up, etc., lots of hard work so that we give an appropriate representation to the community.

I would like to say “thank you” to all of those who will line the parade route. (It’s great to see friendly, smiling faces along the route.) I want to say “thank you” to those who will walk with the float – pulling wagons, distributing information about the church and school. This is one of the rare moments when we can pour goodwill and information directly into our target ministry footprint.

Finally, I want to recognize that, as John Maxwell famously says, “Everything rises and falls on leadership.” From day one, Jenalle Crabtree (and her family) have been instrumental in leading our participation in the parade. Jenalle cares intensely about having the church and school front and center in the community. I also know for a fact that a considerable amount of Jenalle’s passion for this ministry is that she does this in memory of her mom, one of the greatest ladies I have ever known, Celeste Craig-Zipperlen. In recent years she has been joined in the leadership of the Fourth of July Parade effort by Heather Barnes. Heather has a passion for excellence and wants our representation to the community to be first-class. Heather is also (absolutely no hyperbole here, and this has nothing to do with the fact that she is my daughter-in-law) the most creative person I know – and she brings that to bear on this entire project. Jenalle and Heather are a great team – and they are outstanding leaders.

Please pray that we create lots of goodwill, name recognition, and desire for additional information about the church and school as a result of the parade. Thank you!
