We will begin a new sermon series this week on the life of Peter. Our emphasis in 2017 is on being Christ-Centered. What better way to learn more about Jesus than to dive into the life of Jesus’ best friend. This series will go until the end of September.
Jo Kadlecek in “Reckless Faith,” writes:
“Peter may be the most famous person in all of history who is more known for his failures than for his accomplishments. People joke about Peter. They look at him with disdain for what he did and did not do. They use him as an example of someone who almost always said the wrong thing.”
That’s really a powerful motivation to study Peter’s life. Peter gives all of us hope. We are similarly flawed. Yet, Peter loved Jesus. Jesus loved Peter. Jesus was able to use Peter’s life in AMAZING ways. Even with our flaws and foibles, Jesus will use our lives in a powerful way as well.
Please join us for this series where, along with Peter, we learn to be like Jesus.
