We are very grateful for the work that Rich, Sarah, and Jonathan Vogt are doing through Pioneer Bible Translators in Tanzania. Because I want to give their work the broadest possible exposure, I will devote this blog to their latest information:

Living with Abandonment
As Support Director, Rich is busy getting ready to renew some soon-to-be expiring work and resident permits for our teammates. Sarah has “officially” completed her first year of teaching a homeschooling co-op. She will be finishing up a few remaining subjects with Jonathan over the course of the next few weeks. Jonathan is finishing up his school work for the year and is really looking forward to two of his grandmas visiting in a few weeks.
How You Can Pray For Us
1. We have had a couple of medical concerns over the past two months and we thank God that He has heard our prayers and that so far we remain healthy and well. Please continue to pray for our physical well-being! It can be really scary at times when you know that good medical care is so far away.
2. PBT just ended their bi-annual time of prayer and fasting. Please pray for all those who are serving with PBT and for those who still have no access to God’s Word. God is good and we are very thankful for the relationships that we have developed among our teammates and for the growth that we are going through as a branch. Please pray for unity, against attacks from Satan, and that God would continue to provide the right teammates in areas that we need them.
3. Pray for our moms as they travel overseas for the first time. Pray that this will be an excellent time of sharing and that we may soak up every minute that we have together. Pray for their flights, against illness, and that they may enter Tanzania without any issues.
4. Unfortunately, there have been a couple of incidents of theft (one with a teammate and his phone and another at the office) in the last couple weeks. Will you pray for protection and that God will make Himself known to these individuals. We are so thankful that His forgiveness covers a multitude of sins…especially our own!
Join us on July 1st at 9am EST! We will be giving a tour of the office and we will have a couple of special guests on hand to give their impressions of how we are doing. Start thinking about the questions that you would like for us to answer. We look forward to chatting with you!
Help Fill Our School Library
Jonathan and Sarah are really excited about this opportunity! This coming Friday (the 19th), a friend of Sarah’s (Micki Young) will be hosting an Usborne online book party. Usborne is known for their beautiful and long-lasting, educational books. The East Africa branch moms/teachers are putting together a wish list of books that we would love to have for this upcoming school year. If you would like to purchase books for a little one in your own life, you would still be helping our cause because a certain percentage of everything purchased will help us in buying the remaining books on our list. Click here for more information. Or feel free to email Sarah!
