Saturday, May 6 was our Help Build Hope day. What a day it was! We build the walls to two homes that are going to Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County. (The houses will actually be in the south end of Columbus, and we will be able to keep a close eye on them as they go up on their permanent foundations.) One of the houses was a 3 bedroom, the other a 4 bedroom.
This is always an amazing project, and this year was no exception. The lumber was cut and organized on Friday night. On Saturday, all 150 wall components were built, inspected, and loaded on trucks. The site was cleaned up and tools were put away, and everyone was eating a delicious lunch by 12:15 pm. Wow!!
Thanks to all 150 volunteers. What a great group of willing hearted workers!
Thanks to the Madison Men’s Ministry. Without their excellent leadership, this project would be impossible.
Thanks to Crossroads Missions and Dave Lockwood – their expertise and equipment brings it all together.
Thanks to the wonderful people of Madison Christian Church for donating the cost of all the materials in our year-end offering.
Thanks to the Lord for putting it into the hearts of his people to bless two families in such an amazing way. (We also really appreciate the slot of clear weather that the Lord provided in an otherwise very rainy period.)
Praise God, and thank you to all.
