Children's Classes

Madison Christian Church offers Children’s ministry classes for all ages (Newborn-5th grade) during all the Sunday Morning services, and every Wednesday Night services.

Below is a list of service times, programs being offered, appropriate age group for each service, and the page listing you can find more detailed information about each program.

Nursery

The goal of our Nursery is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which Biblical teaching, Christian compassion, and servant-hood are demonstrated and taught; so that a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ can begin.

Classroom Assignments
We offer three Nursery classrooms for children from Newborn through Preschool. The classes do have “target ages”, but are based more upon development. The three rooms are Baby, 2’s & 3’s, and Preschool.

Labeling
We will supply tags for diaper bags and other necessary equipment.. Please label all item(s) brought into the nursery or classroom. If you would like “personalized labels,” please let us know.

Baby Dedication
We invite families with a new baby to participate in a Baby Dedication. This a special time for parent(s) to dedicate their child to God and themselves to the path of Christian parenting. Parent(s) dedicate themselves to providing a Christ-centered home for their child(ren). They commit to teach their child Scripture, pray with and for their child, and to model a life that is consistent with Christian values.

Medical Information
In fairness to all children, we cannot accept sick babies or children into our Nursery or Preschool rooms. If your child is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please keep him or her home until he/she is well: fever, red eyes with discharge, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, or skin rash.

Feeding
We will do our best to feed your child their bottle at the time you indicate on the sign-in sheet. We ask that you mix all bottle(s) before you bring your child to the Nursery. We do provide some small snacks (i.e.– Goldfish, Townhouse crackers, etc). For your convenience, a nursing room is available within the nursery.

Preschool

Every Sunday morning at 10:30 we offer appropriate classes for children ages 2 through 5. Preschoolers will learn important Biblical truths in a fun and creative setting that impacts all of their senses. Our curriculum has a wide variety of activities, crafts, and games to reinforce the weekly lessons. Each week your child will take home an activity page and a craft which provides a reminder, throughout the week, of the Biblical lessons they learned in class.

PeeWee Worship

We believe that even at a very young age, children can be taught how to worship... With this belief in mind, PeeWee Worship is offered Sunday Morning during the 10:30 adult worship for ages 4 and 5, or in Kindergarten. The children participate in a unique blend of songs, prayers, and lessons that encourage young children to respond to God’s love. PeeWee Worship is a year long program.

Children’s Center

Foundation Classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:00am. Through in-depth Bible study and Scripture memorization, we challenge kids to grow in their understanding and faith of God. Classes are divided by individual grade level... giving kids the opportunity to learn in a small classroom setting made up of peers, approximately, their own age.
Foundation Classes end at 10:00am.

Reality

Reality, offered on Sunday morning at 10:30 in the Children's Center. This program is an exciting and high energy worship service for children in 1st through 5th Grades. Reality provides kids with an opportunity to worship God through songs, prayer, communion, offering, and Bible lesson. Kids take an active role in planning and leading Reality. Each week you will find children helping lead Worship, distributing communion, collecting offering, performing specials, and helping with “object” lessons.

You can pick up your child(ren) from the fireside room after 10:30 service ends.

KidCity

KidCity, held Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., is a high-energy outreach program for kids who are 4 years old through the 5th grade. KidCity provides kids with an exciting and a friendly place to bring their unchurched friends. Each week they are challenge to memorized scripture, bring their Bible, and bring their worksheets, from the previous week. Every week the kids participate in a variety of games and activities. Through these game(s)/ativities they will be spending time learning and discussing practical truths that apply to their life. During KidCity the kids will be given a snack to keep them energized. KidCity will closes its’ doors at 8:15 p.m.
