Madison Christian Church

Happy Retirement

Submitted by Paul Barnes on May 24, 2010 - 1:27pm.

Jean White has served very faithfully in the office of Madison Christian Church for nearly 14 years. At the beginning of 2010, she announced her intention to retire, effective at the end of this month.  Well, here we are, it's the end of the month, and Jean is completing her service as Bookkeeper/Secretary in the church office.  (It is time for me to get out of the denial mode.)

It has been a great pleasure to work with Jean.  She works hard and has many capabilities.  To confine her contribution to Bookkeeper/Secretary is not adequate.  If it has needed done around here, Jean has been willing to pick up and ball and run with it.  It is impossible for us to express how much we appreciate her service to the church for these years.

As Jean begins a well-deserved period of retirement in her life, we pray that the Lord will bless her.  It is her intention to spend a good deal of time in Virginia with her mother-in-law, helping her.  She will not be a stranger around here.  She is going on the Zimbabwe Mission Trip and she will be here frequently.

There is an Open House honoring Jean at the Heibergers on Monday, May 31, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Anyone who wishes is invited to stop in to thank Jean for her service.
